Versailles…will you ever be the same again?

I heard an absolutely lovely story on NPR this morning about some new additions to the ever-impressive Versailles castle. Having visited there this past spring, I was at once dwarfed by the scale, enthralled by the grandeur, and mesmerized by the beauty.

 

 But Michael, Bubbles, and a giant lobster would have made it that much better.

If you have been to Versailles, the additions are an interesting juxtaposition to the over-the-top-ness of the castle. If you have not been, I definitely recommend you add it to your France itinerary — Michael and Bubbles not withstanding.
